First Driving Lesson

Created by Mum 9 years ago
Mike, I still remember the very first time I let you drive my car. We were staying at my parents home in Devon, I went to the village to buy some cigarettes and you asked if you could come for a drive as well. On the way back I stopped just outside the village and told you to get out of the car. The look of puzzlement on your face was priceless, you couldn't think what you'd done wrong, I got around to the passenger side and got in. I told you if you're going to drive you need to get in the drivers seat, your face lit up brighter than a Christmas tree. We drove back and instead of going into their home we proceeded to the aerodrome and had a driving lesson there for an hour or so. Remember that pot hole? I kept saying 'POT HOLE, POT HOLE, once you drove into it you said 'Yep it sure is a pot hole', we laughed. This is just one of the very happy memories I have of us, there are several more, but as your brothers don't know half of the things we did or talked about I won't mention here. I'll always have those fond memories of the past 26 years and your secrets I'll always keep. Big Mike
